Ending off Women’s Month on a mindful note, the GLAMOUR x Motherkind Women’s Moth Wellness event took place at Loftus Park in Pretoria on August 24th, bringing together women for an empowering and invigorating experience.
Hosted by Digital Content Creator Tarryn Trussell van Louw aka TK and GLAMOUR’s Editor-In-Chief Nontando Mposo, the morning kicked off with energetic workouts, including high-intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions and a relaxing yoga session, designed to promote physical wellbeing and self-care.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring panel discussion hosted by GLAMOUR’s Editor-In-Chief and TK, featuring Rechelle Kloeck, the founder of Motherkind, former Miss South Africa 2011 Melinda Bam, and E-45 Category Manager Rumbani Mhango, and Miss South Africa 2022 Ndavi Nokeri.
Their insights on personal growth and resilience resonated with attendees, inspiring them to embrace their individuality and strengths. Additionally, the event featured an eye-opening discussion on diet and nutrition by Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Manager for Nestlé East & Southern Africa and Registered Dietitian South Africa, equipped with valuable advice for maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
Guests had the opportunity to interact with various activations including daily electrolytes brand Revive, Nestlé, E-45 and Ice Tropez, who kept everyone refreshed with their latest offering of Ice Tropez 0.00% beverages. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie as attendees connected and shared their experiences, strengthening the network of support among women.
Among the VIP guests was Miss South Africa 2024 Mia Le Roux, who added a special touch to the event.
At the end of the event, each attendee was spoiled with a Motherkind Co. goodie bag, a GLAMOUR goodie box which included mementoes from Skin Functional, GHD Voucher, Gyna Guard, Dove and, Avon to mention a few, the guests also walked away with a yoga mat to continue their wellness journey at home.
