On 12th April, the picturesque Eensgezind residency was transformed into a glamorous wellness affair, hosted by GLAMOUR magazine and proudly sponsored by Gloot, Nestlé, Softlips, and Planet Fitness.
Despite grey skies and a light drizzle, guests arrived in great numbers to take part in a beautifully curated event centred around mindfulness and fitness. The day was expertly hosted by the remarkable Zuraida Jardine, who opened the event with an emotional breathwork session that invited the audience to reconnect with their younger selves. Her powerful session set a heartfelt tone for the day, leaving attendees feeling open, relaxed, and inspired
It was a vibrant celebration of all things wellness, with brand activations that included Listerine, The Body Shop offering mini make-up touch-ups, Red Bull serving both cocktails and mocktails, and Sir Fruit delighting guests with organic juice shots. Attendees also enjoyed sparkling wine courtesy of Van Hunks and an elegant selection of wines from Eastwines.
The experience didn’t stop there, guests took part in fun, engaging brand activations and walked away with thoughtful products from participating partners. But beyond the generous giveaways, the event was designed to truly enrich. Experts from various fields were brought in to share their wisdom on wellness, ensuring the audience left with more than just goodies, they took home knowledge and inspiration.
A key highlight of the day was the insightful panel discussion on “Wellness and Fitness: Trends and the Future”, chaired by GLAMOUR’s Editor-in-Chief, Nontando Mposo. She was joined by an esteemed panel including Klain Kops, CEO of Gloot; Rushda Moosajee (RushTush), celebrated entrepreneur and fitness icon; and Annie Marie de Beer, a registered dietitian from Nestlé.
This year’s event also welcomed GLAMOUR’s Book Club into the programme. The feature editor, Thobeka Phanyeko, led an inspiring discussion exploring personal wellness journeys, alongside Ayanda Mvandaba, Thato Mosikare, Kim Jones, Sharni Quinn, and Zuraida Jardine.
To keep the energy high, two invigorating workouts were hosted , a dance fitness session by Lindiwe Le Brasseur from the Sports Science Institute of South Africa, followed by an empowering EMPOWHER HIIT workout that left everyone glowing and energised.
Guests were encouraged to tag and use the official event hashtag throughout the day, those who did were rewarded with fabulous spot prizes from Gloot, Listerine, Red Bull, Jockey, Softlips, American Swiss, and more.
