Friends is a collective of audio archivists with the mission of creating a sense of community through genre-defying sounds. Individually known as Phola Gumede, Qhawe Luthuli and Nomalungelo Molefe, the trio are designing a space of release, liberation, to evolve - a space to define your good time. For its first Cape Town edition, the brunch was hosted at the charming The Athletic Club & Social and was filled with compelling rhythms, overjoyed tastebuds, the most gorgeous summer breeze and absolutely the feeling that everything is going to be alright.

Cape Town partygoers showed up in their most summer beautiful hues and Instagram fanatics were never ready for what could be the most beautiful coordinated brunch to show up on the feed. Fashion was just one element of Homie. Lover. Friend, the DJ line-up included Kaygee, Blaq Kongo and Raiko. What’s a brunch without a drink and your squad? Well of course, Skinny Seltzers was the drink of choice and its a low-calorie seltzer that has a cheeky twist.
