Yutee Rone wrapped 2024 with a celebration of creativity, nature, and elegance through her SS25 Tropical Rainforest collection. The Nigerian designer unveiled the collection at a rainforest-themed event on December 15, 2024. The function was described by many as nature’s beauty intertwined with contemporary fashion. Her ability to blend bold artistic statements with inclusivity and refined craftsmanship shone brightly during the show.
Through the SS25 Tropical Rainforest collection, Rone demonstrated how fabrics can be turned into art, with each outfit telling its story. While some echoed the movement of rainforest leaves and streams, others mimicked the solid forms of tree trunks and vines.
Despite the collection embracing its creative and experimental side, it also found a balance with classic elegance. Bold, sculptural designs were paired with traditional tailoring, making the pieces feel daring and polished. This mix of the avant-garde and the familiar made the collection versatile and appealing to many.
The SS25 collection was about nature, with the rainforest theme shining through every detail. The SS25 Tropical Rainforest collection is one of the many milestones of Yutee Rone in 2024. In October, she was invited to speak at the True Beauty Empowerment Women’s Conference4.0. At the conference, she got to inspire young women to turn their passions into successful businesses. Having established a global luxury womenswear despite studying microbiology, Rone got the opportunity to share lessons on focus, determination, and passion.
Adding to her accolades this year, Ynaija recognized her as one of the Top 50 Fashion Designers of 2024 for her remarkable international achievements. In Ghana, Yutee Rone catered to her clients by hosting a pop-up in the capital, Accra. On the global stage, she made a stunning debut at New York Fashion Week with her collection, Wavering Lines.
The collection celebrated the elegance of linear designs and was presented to an exclusive audience of fashion editors, influencers, and buyers. Her February showcase brought her African heritage to the forefront of international fashion, with notable attendees including Summar Shaban, Eva Marcille, Keith Shocklee, and Jaime Bourbonnais.
