Music’s biggest night, the 67th GRAMMY Awards ceremony took place on Sunday the 2nd of February in Los Angeles. The Grammy awards is one of the most prestigious and anticipated events on the awards calender. The who’s who of the industry came out to enjoy and celebrate the new crop of winners.
Beyonce won the award for Best Country Album which left the star gobsmacked at the announcement of her win. This is a historic win for the artist as she became the first Black woman to win in this genre. She has also garnered a whopping 33 Grammy wins in her career making her the most awarded artist in the history of the Recording Academy.
Doechii walked away a winner, bagging the award for Best Rap Album for her “ Alligator Bites Never Heal” album. She not only won for her artistry but was a definite winner on the red carpet slaying in a Thom Browne look.
Sabrina Carpenter won Best Pop Vocal Album for “Short n Sweet” and also walked away with the award for Best Pop Solo Performance, for her hit song “Espresso“. She walked the red carpet in a flawless custom JW Anderson ice blue dress. The first time nominee and winner also performed her two chart topping hits Espresso and Please Please Please to the delight of the audience.
The night was not without controversy as YE and his wife Bianca Censori stunned the world when she unveiled her completely nude “look” on the red carpet. The couple left the event shortly after their shocking debut with various reports stating they were escorted off the premises by police while others speculated they left of their own accord. Only time will reveal the truth.
Cardi B was undoubtedly one of our best dressed guests of the night. The artist looked sensational in a Roberto Cavalli floor length gold sequined and feathered dress.
