Tyla sits front row at Jacquemus Fall 2025 runway show in Paris

Simon Porte showcased his fall 2025 runway show yesterday in Paris with a host of celebrities gracing the front row. Our very own superstar Tyla arrived wearing a stunning dress that continued to echo the naked dress trend that was and apparently still continues to be all the rage.

Tems was another African superstar that was in attendance alongside French content creator Lenah Mahfouf, best actress nominee Pamela Anderson as well as model Tina Kunakey. One of my favourite celebrity looks was singer Raye wearing a floor length polka dot semi sheer dress with cat eye sunglasses and an elongated clutch. The overall look strongly resembled the old Hollywood aesthetic.

The pieces were an homage to the 1950s silhouettes and glamour with polka dots and cinched in waists as well as dropped waist dresses. Simon described referencing America and Marylin Monroe in this collection hence the old Hollywood aesthetic. The designer had this to say, “With this collection, I want to bare myself before you, without artifice, just our silhouettes in the intimacy of Auguste Perret’s apartment.”

Unfortunately the designs left some in the fashion set divided as some unfavourable comparisons were made. Whatever your thoughts the Fashion season has officially begun and we wait with anticipation to see the next set of presentations.
