The Easter celebration ain’t over, until we say it’s over!
In part 2 of our Easter exclusive with KFM, we chatted to the bubbly, beautiful and talented Zoë Brown about all things beauty, family, and advice for aspiring entertainers.
What would be your ideal Easter look?
Easter is fun time to experiment with color and be playful. So I would wear block colors with hair accessories like bunny or cat ears.
Will you be spending time with your family this long weekend?
Yes! I’m based in Cape Town, and my parents live in Durban. My dad is turning sixty so they’ll be in Cape Town for his birthday celebration. It’s going to be a mini family reunion because most of my extended family members will be there. I’m super excited to see all the family; we’re very close as a family.
Whats on your playlist right now?
I love a track by Marshmello & Anne-Marie called ‘Friends’; I also love ‘Rudimental’ by These Days feat. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen. So, I quite like commercial music; pop is definitely my favorite genre.
You have such great hair, what’s your hair routine, and could you spill your hair secrets?
I wear extensions so there’s so much room to play and experiment. It’s a form of protection because my hair is styled with heat tools. My go-to salon is Excentrics in Sea Point where I get a weekly wash and blow, and my go-to hair products are dry shampoo and the Kardashian Beauty black seed dry oil.
Your skin is amazing; what’s your secret?
I keep my skincare routine very simple, and I never sleep with makeup on so I always invest in good makeup removing wipes.
What’s your food philosophy?
I believe in moderation. I don’t do diets or eating plans; if I want something sweet now I’ll eat it but, there has to be balance.
What advice do you have for women in entertainment? And what does it mean to be a woman in entertainment in today’s climate?
We’ve always had a voice, and now it’s all about how we say what we want to say. It’s important for ladies in entertainment, or looking to be in entertainment, to remember to maintain a sense of mystery on social media. My rule of thumb, when it comes to social media, is that I would never post or say anything on social media that I wouldn’t do in front of my dad.
