Though some may be tempted to mock the Kardashian-Jenner gang, make no mistake: they’re the most important pop culture icons in the game right now. Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris are all over the worlds of fashion, television, beauty, and even music. And thanks to their apps, their show, and their social media omnipresence, we know a lot about their love lives too.
And as out-of-this-world as the Kardashians might seem, some of their dating experiences have been pretty relatable! Here’s some Kardashian dating advice we’ve taken note of over the years:
1 Khloé on
alive
“I’ve been in a couple of long-term relationships, and there’s one thing I’ve learned: Never stop dating!!! That might sound weird, but it’s so important to actually DATE your husband or wife. There are so many ways to keep your dating life spicy, too, from just carving out time to spend together to surprising them with a sexy photo shoot. You don’t have to completely rearrange your schedule to fit in a traditional ‘date night.’ If you don’t have a lot of time, just do one thing with your S.O. every day. Even just going to the gym together can be a really intimate experience. Go on a hike in the morning before work, or take your partner grocery shopping with you. It’s the time together that’s more important than anything else.”
2 Kim on
moving on
from exes
“I stand up for myself more and more. … It’s so important to insist on being treated with respect.”
3 Kris on
being yourself
when dating
“Don’t try too hard… If you’re not your true self and putting on a lot of airs, then I think is what’s going to happen is when you finally come up for air, it’s going to be really uncomfortable trying to keep up with that. So I think just be yourself. If someone falls in love with you for who you are, how great is that?”
4 Kylie, quoting Oscar Wilde
Never love anyone who treats you like you’re ordinary

5 Khloé on
dating
in the digital age
“I’ve never been someone who’s constantly on their phone, and I pride myself on that — especially in a relationship. It’s all about setting boundaries so that your significant other knows how you want to be treated.”
6 Kim on
surviving
a long-distance relationship
“Love waits when it’s right.”
7 Kim on
get married
“I say give it a good six months before you commit.”
8 Khloé on
getting over a breakup
“The busier you are, the less you’re going to think about something, so I would try to consume your thoughts with productive things. Try to just find a hobby and keep yourself busy in a really positive way. Or surround yourself with friends and family that you love and who do really occupy your mind.”
