If there is anyone who knows how to put together a singing group, it’s Simon Cowell. But believe it or not, Simon had nothing to do with our new favourite boy band. With the demise of One Direction (I’m still sad about this), we needed a fresh group of five pretty faces singing about things that every girl wants to hear. Enter Why Don’t We.

Formed in 2016, these five guys quickly shot to stardom. Made up of five teenage heartthrobs namely Daniel Seavey, Corbyn Besson, Jack Avery (my personal fave), Zach Herron and Jonah Marais. But being in a boy band or a “man band” as they like to call it, was not always where they saw themselves. Starting out as solo artists from completely different parts of States, they ended up meeting through music but it wasn’t until one day they decided to hang out and starting singing together by accident that they were like “Why don’t we start a band,” hence where the name comes from. Fast-forward, two years and six EPs later, WDW is signed with Atlantic Records and have just dropped their very first album 8 Letters even featuring bop Trust Fund Baby written especially for them by musical genius Ed Sheeran . The album ended up charting number 1 the day it dropped. And it looks like the group’s quest for chart domination will not stop there.

As a 23-year-old girl, I have no shame in saying these guys tick every box when it comes to the ideal boy band – the looks, the voices and the personalities to match.
Check out their latest music video here. Spoiler alert, you’ll probably fall in love by the end. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
So there you have it. What do you think?
