One such shining star is Ismael Mchunu, the winner of last year’s Young Designer Award attributes his victory to his willingness to take risks. The accompanying R50,000.00 bursary he won provided him with the motivation to complete his studies this year. Reflecting on his triumph, Mchunu expressed his gratitude, stating, "Receiving the bursary prize last year was an incredible blessing. The financial support enabled me to pursue my studies, especially during the challenging registration period at the beginning of the year. I am sincerely grateful to Hollywoodbets for making my journey easier.”
In addition to the bursary, Mchunu was given the opportunity to attend SA Fashion Week this year, where he met renowned designers, brands and sponsorship companies.
