Want to see what local fashionistas are wearing? For the next 10 days, we get an exclusive look into the wardrobe of boutique owner, Mpumi Portia Ngwenya.
“My 9-to-5 is at FCB Joburg, a leading advertising agency where I am the senior art director,” says Mpumi. “My spare time is all about what I call the Four Fs: Fashion, Friends, Family and Faith. On top of being the face behind the blog Missposhglam, I also own a clothing boutique called Nimcouture.”
Mpumi also co-runs an NGO called Klear Vision Foundation. Currently, their biggest project is trying to make sanitary pads available to young girls across the country. She also does a lot of work in the Diepsloot community, where she offers art and life lessons to the youth.
“My personal style is heavily influenced by my love for art,” she explains. “I love to shop at both high-end stores and thrift shops – brands don’t make your style, you do.”
Keep up with Mpumi on her blog or follow her on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
