As a universal language, art has the power to break through cultural and communication barriers, and can ultimately uplift those around us.
“Lalela”, a Zulu word meaning “to listen”, is the design philosophy behind the aptly named Lalela Project, an after-school arts programme for at-risk youths.
These stunning Lalela scarves feature inspiring designs from young artists and designers in the programme, and are available in a range of fabrics including cotton/silk, modal/cashmere, wool/silk/cashmere and cashmere/silk blends.
Lalela scarves are available online at philosophyonline.co.za or at Singita Game Reserve and Nap Living stores.
