NYFW: Calvin Klein returns to New York Fashion Week after 6 years

Calvin Klein returned to the New York Fashion Week runways with their new Creative Director, Italian designer Veronica Leoni since parting ways with Raf Simmons in 2018 due to creative differences. The front row was packed with A-listers like 90s Super models Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, artist Bad Bunny and many others and most surprisingly the founder himself - all eager and filled with anticipation to see the collection under its new leader which would hopefully herald the new era of the iconic brand. Calvin Klein sold his namesake business in 2002.

The collection has unanimously been hailed a success for the newly appointed designer who is the first female to lead the house. The Fall 2025 collection named Monumental minimalism was an ode in some part to the brand in its heyday. The DNA of Calvin Klein was interwoven throughout the collection with a fresh take on old classics and always allowing the pieces to speak for themselves.

Veronica’s credentials are impressive. She was a finalist for the LVMH prize having entered under her own brand Quira. She has worked at The Row, Jil Sander and Phoebe Philo’s Céline. One could argue her previous stints were the perfect launching pad for her new role which according to Vogue are, “brands that occupy the minimalist, tailoring-focused space that Klein shaped and defined in his heyday.”

We are rooting for her success and look forward to what she does next!
