“Music is my business, and I’m its boss.” This is how Ayanda Ncwane introduces herself on The Real Housewives of Durban reality show. Nine episodes in, and we can all safely say Mrs Ncwane, or rather uMadamu, the Khwi in Khwin—has a very colourful, sometimes OTT persona. But it’s her sense of style that has everyone talking every single week.
Fashion stylist and younger brother Phupho Gumede, ensures that she’s always well-put together. High tea, casino night, on the golf course, or a simple lunch date, you can be sure uMadamu is literally going to be late to the party. But it is always worth the wait.
Classic elegance, with a hint of sass, she never puts a foot wrong—even in a (luxury) tracksuit. Which reminds us of a recent episode, where Kgomotso Ndungane gifted each of the #RHODurban ladies with a pair of sneakers. First Lady is always a lady and was ever so gracious when she received the gift. In her diary session however, the truth came out; ‘’Ooh chile chile chile, are they Gucci? Are they LV? Are they Dolce & Gabbana? No, they are not. They are just cute little pink sneakers.” Classic.
