6 When all you need to do to cover that crater-sized spot on your forehead is experiment with a new parting. Poor men – so few option.
7 When you step out the salon and you can still pretend you’re in a shampoo advert, before wind, rain and sticky fingers bring you back down to earth.
8 When you get that ‘cat basking in the sun’ feeling because someone is playing with your hair – be it a hot guy or your BFF creating a styling miracle on your head.
9 When your brother’s silently stressing about his bald patch and your locks are still looking lustrous. Payback for periods, childbirth and cellulite!
10 When you still can’t afford that Thailand trip but, thanks to your honey-coloured highlight, people are talking about your holiday glow.
11 When your version of the fishtail plait/top knot looks even better than the model’s in the magazine. Cue instant puff of self-pride!
12 When you get invited to an ’80s fancy dress party and don’t have to spend a fortune on shoulder pads thanks to your fabulous ‘Fro.
13 When you’re stumped for a comeback to that annoying putdown, but a haughty flick of your weave acts as an excellent substitute.
