On 24 August, Octa, a global financial broker, will hold an educational and networking event to celebrate Women's Month in SA. Conducted in Johannesburg, it will feature a successful entrepreneur and popular Forex mentor Chantel Snyman and a special guest—musical artist, entrepreneur, and content creator Thabsie.
August is traditionally considered Women's Month in South Africa. Back in 1956, thousands of South African women marched to protest the apartheid government's legislation aimed at stifling the movement of black women. Since 2014, Women's Month has been commemorated throughout the country, bringing together South Africans of all backgrounds, races, and cultural groups.
Octa celebrates Women's Month this year by conducting an offline trading workshop to empower SA women and boost their financial knowledge. Participants will draw inspiration and business acumen from special guest speaker, Thabsie, and take part in a three-hour workshop with a renowned Forex trader and mentor, Chantel Snyman. The event will also include a Q&A session with a prize giveaway and a networking huddle.
The South African nation has made great progress in terms of women’s empowerment since the events of 1956, but women still face some deep-rooted issues, including the gender pay gap, insufficient access to education, underemployment, and limited opportunities for career growth. Octa has always promoted financial knowledge as the primary driver of independence and success, and the upcoming event will contribute to that cause by strengthening the bonds between women traders.
With this offline workshop and networking session, Octa aims to bring South African women together within a supportive, goal-oriented traders' community who are working towards financial self-sufficiency and personal development.
