Living in a small space can feel limiting in a lot of ways, Tammy affirms that there are elements you can add to give the illusion that the space is much bigger than it actually is. And colour is on of them. Below, she offers her top five tips inspired by her colourful, bold and quirky approach.
Add floor-to-ceiling Mirrors creates the illusion of space
Make use of feature wall colours to demarcate a space within open plan living areas.
For example: If the dining room and lounge flow into one space, use a different colour on the walls of the dining room to separate it and its mood from the TV room.
Use the correct size furniture, decor and wall art pieces in small spaces so that the room looks neither too cluttered or empty.
Opt for lighter coloured furniture and clever lighting to create space.
Adopt a less is more approach, opting for quality over quantity.
Rather spend your money on good pieces that accentuate the space, and can be used in future homes than buying lots of cheaper items that bring down the style and luxury of the environment.
