These simple recipes will bring you infinite enjoyment this summery festive season – don’t be afraid to play around because the variations are endless!
We’ve spent time sharing in some cocktail chic with with some real pros: Lungi Mandla, brand ambassador for Cointreau and Giuseppe La Gattuta, creator of One Naughty Lemon. Not only did we get to sip on some magical drinks, but the pros themselves gave us a few lessons in the art of cocktail-making. Yip, that’s right. If we can do it, so can you!
Cointreau Fizz Mint Tea
- 50ml Cointreau
- 20ml Fresh lime juice
- 50ml Cold black tea
- 3 Fresh mint leaves
- 50ml Soda water
- Garnish: fresh mint leaves
Add Cointreau, tea, lime juice and mint leaves into a boston shaker glass, fill with ice. Shake until metal tin is frosted. Strain into a glass over ice and top off with soda water. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
KWV Moscato Aperol Spritz
- 75ml KWV Classic Moscato
- 30ml Aperol
- 20ml Soda water
- Garnish: mint, cucumber and lemon
Fill a low glass with ice. Add Moscato and Aperol and mix gently. Top up with soda water. Garnish with lemon, cucumber and a sprig of mint.
One Naughty Lemon Yo Ho
50ml Rum
25ml Limoncello
75ml Dry lemon juice
Garnish: lemon slice
Fill a glass with crushed ice. Pour in the rum followed by the Limoncello. Top up with the dry lemon juice. Leave to settle and watch the layers form.
Cointreau Fizz Passion & Pepper
- 50ml Cointreau
- 15ml Fresh lime juice
- 2 Fresh passion fruits (juiced)
- 1 Thin slice of thai chili pepper
- 50ml Soda water
- Garnish: thai chili pepper
Add Cointreau, lime juice, passion fruit juice and slice of thai chili pepper into a boston shaker glass, fill with ice. Shake until metal tin is frosted. Fine strain into the glass over ice and top up with soda water. Garnish with a thai chili pepper.
Classic Belvedere Martini
- 60ml Belvedere
- 15ml Dry Vermouth
- 2 Dashes bitters (optional)
- Garnish: pink grapefruit twist or lemon twist
Place a few blocks of ice into a Martini glass to cool it down. Remove after a few minutes. Pour the Belvedere, Vermouth and bitters into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Strain into the chilled glass and garnish with a grapefruit or lemon twist.
One Naughty Lemon Sweetheart
50ml Vodka
25ml Limoncello
25ml Aperol
50ml Cranberry juice
Juice of half a lemon
Garnish: lemon slice
Add the vodka, Limoncello, Aperol, cranberry juice and lemon juice to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Top it up with soda and garnish with a lemon wedge.
Classic Champagne Cocktail
- 1 Sugar cube
- Angostura bitters
- 180ml Champagne/Cap Classique
- Garnish: lemon twist or orange twist
Soak the sugar cube in the Angostura bitters. Once it has absorbed the bitters, drop the cube into a champagne flute. Top up with your favourite champagne or Cap Classique. Garnish with the lemon or orange twist.
Cointreau Fizz Tomato
- 50ml Cointreau
- 1/2 Fresh lime (juiced)
- 100ml Soda water
- Garnish: fresh cherry tomatoes
Pour the lime juice into a glass, fill it with ice, add Cointreau and top it off with soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh cherry tomato wedges.
One Naughty Lemon Bubbles
- 25ml Limoncello
- 25ml Aperol
- 100ml Sparkling wine
Pour the Limoncello and Aperol into a champagne flute. Stir well. Top up with sparkling wine and crushed ice.
