The Long Street branch is a small space, ideal for morning coffee runs on your way to work, but it’s the Kloof Street branch that really has it all: benches, lights, music and a bustling atmosphere, the shop transforms into a great hangout spot at night.

Jason Bakery

Their slogan says it all: beer, bread, bubbles. Jason Bakery is known for its variety of bread – from white to brown to rye, as much as they are for their amazing coffee. Want something delicious to go with your Flat White? Try their bacon peanut butter maple croissant, or BAB (bacon, avo and Brie) sandwich.

Deluxe Coffeeworks

Whether you’re stopping in for your morning takeout cup at Deluxe’s Metal Lane store, browsing the papers during a coffee break at the Church Street branch or enjoying good company and good music along with your caffeine fix at the shop in Roodehek Street, you’ll feel like a regular from your first visit.

Truth

The CBD branch has been named the best coffee shop in the world, partly due to its industrial revolution-styled decor but its also due to the main attraction: a 1950s coffee machine called Colossus. There’s also a branch in Green Point if the hustle and bustle of the city centre isn’t your scene.

An artisan coffee shop with affordable prices? Sounds like a winner to us! Not only do they have delicious coffee and some of the best gourmet burgers, salads and sandwiches, but they also have an online shop where you can buy some stylish hoodies.

Cafe Capillini

With four branches all over PE, you’ll never have to worry about missing out on a fix if this becomes your favourite coffee spot. And with their breakfast omelettes and croissants, salads, variety of Italian food, gourmet burgers and square pizzas, why wouldn’t it be?

This is an upmarket retro-chic coffee shop with unique wall decor and some of the best cupcakes and other baked treats you’ll ever taste! They also source their coffee from Truth in Cape Town, so you know it’s good!

This is a vibrant colourful restaurant that supports local farms and has local produce.
