Vintage with Love presented by the forum company is a giant weekend pop-up shop, consisting of gently worn fashion collected from the well-heeled ladies of South Africa and sold to stylish shoppers who love nothing more than hunting for fashion treasure.

All the funds raised from the sale are donated to literacy charities including The Click Foundation and Columba Leadership Academy.

Launched in 2013 by friends Leigh Ord and Jacquie Myburgh Chemaly and with the generous support of the forum company, Vintage with Love has raised more than R2-million for literacy charities since its inception. Last year saw the launch of Vintage with Love Cape Town.

This year’s Vintage with Love sale takes place on the 3rd, 4th, 5th June 2016 and is once more hosted by the forum at The Campus on Main Road in Bryanston.

The organisers are appealing to anyone with once-loved fashion to donate, to drop off at one of their central collection points, or to contact them for collection of the garments.

While high-end local and imported designer labels are always welcome, the Vintage with Love team is also on the lookout for desirable high street fashion brands like Top Shop, Zara, H&M, Mango and Country Road.

Miglio Designer Jewellery has opened a concept store in Belvedere Square, Claremont!

Miglio is a small, luxury jewellery brand which is proudly manufactured in Cape Town. Their jewellery is fun, easy and glamorous – the jewellery to live in!

Saturday 11 June, 2016 is the day to celebrate Global Wellness Day with Four Seasons The Westcliff Johannesburg.

Guests are invited to a day of wellness and pampering that is proudly South African at a cost of R1 950 per person. The day will commence at 08:30 with a rooftop yoga session by Yoga Works, complimented by DJ Steven Heyman at the Après Spa rooftop lounge, which overlooks the largest urban forest in the world. This will be followed by a 60-minute balancing body treatment and 30-minute express facial by Terres d’Afrique, the local certified organic range.

The treatments will be followed by a delicious complimentary health lunch at our very own Westcliff Deli using local ingredients where our Chefs will introduce new ways of incorporating fresh herbs into your daily diet as well as how to grow to your very own herb garden.

When the temperature drops slow-cooked meals and a good bottle of red wine is a fine way to spend chilly evening’s indoor. And the 2014 Durbanville Hills Shiraz will certainly not disappoint with its luscious black cherries laced with hints of mulberry, pepper, prunes and smooth vanilla.

The wine is delicious when served with beef stew, Moroccan lamb, barbequed tuna steaks or kudu fillet and chilli con carne. And the food-friendly elegance of this wine is a direct result of where the grapes are harvested from.

The Durbanville area gives rise to fertile soils, hills and valleys of varying altitudes and slopes, and a unique topography that opens up to Table Mountain and Table Bay. The close proximate to the ocean creates a cool climate area that contributes to the layered complexity and balance in the wine. Our winemakers together with member farmers select the most suited locations for the production of exceptional Shiraz grapes and chose low yield vineyards situated about 250m above sea-level, planted in deep, dark red soils.

The grapes were hand-harvested and to soften the texture and maximise colour extraction the wine was left on the skins for one week after fermentation. The wine was matured for 12 months in French oak.

The 2014 Durbanville Hills Shiraz is available nationwide for about R65.

Burn The Floor

, the show that revolutionised the image of dance, returns to South Africa, its “home away from home”, for the fourth time: performing at the Sibaya Casino in Durban from June 8 to 19.

The original concept of Burn The Floor grew from an electric display of ballroom and Latin dancing at Sir Elton John’s 50th birthday party in London, March 1997. There, producer Harley Medcalf, discovered the ballroom dance world and its charismatic people, with their deep intensity, commitment, discipline, burning passion and total love of the ballroom art form.

Burn The Floor today remains focused on its ballroom origins, but this new edition to be seen in South Africa, the “gloriously sinful” Burn The Floor: Fire in The Ballroom, choreographed and directed by Peta Roby, has more surprises in store and promises to blow the roof off the theatre! It has the same rebellious spirit as the previous editions, though more daring with a theatrical rock angle – including music from Santana, Janis Joplin, Christine Aguilera and Led Zeppelin.
