The transition from winter to spring can be rough on your body. That’s why we’ve asked nutritional therapist and author Sally-Ann Creed to share her top tips for healthier skin and effective weight loss in spring.
Skip the alcohol for sparkling water. Alcohol puts the breaks on weight loss and causes dull, lifeless skin.
At least twice a week, use a moisturising body scrub before your shower. Smooth skin looks healthier and younger in a swimsuit.
Don’t skimp on animal protein – it’s good for your skin and for weight loss as lots of energy is burnt digesting it.
A good night’s rest is vital for vibrant, glowing skin. Plus, depriving your body of sleep means you’ll be hungrier the next day.
The caffeine in tea bags is great for reducing puffy eyes. But don’t drink tea more than twice a day, and pass on the milk.
Drink a glass of water mixed with apple cider vinegar before each meal. Just watch the improvement in your skin and health over time.
Break up with sugar! It ages your skin and sabotages your weight loss. Try using xylitol or erythritol instead.
Give up grains and bread – they make you put on weight but don’t fill you up. Replace them with homemade seed crackers.
Include more saturated fat in your diet. This healthy fat will moisturise your skin and help you lose weight.
Dump ALL seed oils and use more real butter – watch your weight drop and your skin glow!
