The Johnnie Walker Warrior Polo event, taking place this Sunday at Inanda Polo Club, is set to be a celebration of the brand’s continued relationship with everyone’s favourite TV show, Game of Thrones, as well the release of their latest offerings – A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire whiskies.
Inspired by the iconic houses of the Westeros, A Song of Ice comes from the House of Stark in the North, known for their icy landscapes and frozen climates.
A Song of Fire is from the House of Targaryen, and is inspired by their fire-breathing dragons. Featuring deep-reds and fiery visuals, the bottle’s external appearance matches the contents inside – rich, spicy and smokey peated malt, just like the fiery nature of GOT’s Valyrian family.
In keeping with this narrative, Fire vs Ice is the theme of the polo, and guests are encouraged to pick a side.
