Numerous A-listers, including Emily Ratajkowski, Monica Bellucci and David and Victoria Beckham, made their way to the majestic grounds of the Château de Versailles on Monday, where they gathered to watch the Jacquemus spring/summer 2024 show. The names gracing the catwalk were equally impressive, as a stellar line-up of new-gen supers walked the lakeside runway.
Gigi Hadid wore a white bikini set beneath a white lace naked dress, a look completed by matching knee-high socks and white leather square-toe pumps. Shortly after, Vittoria Ceretti emerged from the gardens in a similar look, albeit sans bra and complete with a mini tutu skirt, and with a red pair of the shoes, and Imaan Hammam walked in a black linen jacket over white lingerie.
Kendall Jenner, meanwhile, turned heads in a puffy white romper suit accessorised with a spectacular multi-strand sapphire necklace, apparently inspired by Princess Diana’s favourite choker. Made up of strands of pearls with a spectacular sapphire as the centrepiece, the late Princess of Wales memorably wore her necklace with her Christina Stambolian “revenge dress” in 1994. Diana was on Simon Porte Jacquemus’s moodboard for the collection.
Mona Tougaard closed the show wearing a sheer crimson gown with matching hot pants. Newcomer Deva Cassel made an appearance in an all-white skirt suit – much to the delight of her famous mother Monica Bellucci, who cheered from her seat on a rowing boat moored alongside the catwalk.
As the show progressed, more angelic, predominantly ivory looks could be seen on some of the most sought-after names in modelling, including Grace Elizabeth, Ashley Radjarame, Chu Wong, Sacha Quenby, Hyunji Shin, and Rebecca Longendyke.
