Last night photographer and plus-size model Lesego Legobane, aka Thickleeyonce, made her first runway debut at SAFW, walking for Woolworths in their ‘Styled by SA’ designer show. Following in the footsteps of curvy superstars like Ashley Graham and Iskra Lawrence who strutted their stuff at NYFW, Lesego is paving the way locally for models and influencers of all shapes and sizes. So here’s hoping that inclusivity at Fashion Week keeps growing, but for now let’s celebrate models and designers that pushed for change this season.
