Founders, Ange-Nicole, a model born in Burundi and business partner Evelina a business developer in the financial services industry, are on a mission to provide customers with access to affordable designer garments for their special events.

Closet Runway has a variety of designer pieces in a range of sizes to suit every body type. The wide variety of designer clothing options include some of the most sought-after brands in the world, plus South African high-end labels like Thebe Magugu and Maxhosa Africa.

“The Closet Runway selection is curated with the end goal that it serves clients options for different and numerous events and functions,” explains Ange-Nicole, who hails from Burundi. “We also consider skin tones, colours, fabrics, body silhouettes, and of course the quality of the garment.”

In addition to providing customers with a cost-effective way to stay on trend, Closet Runway is also committed to sustainability. By renting clothing instead of buying it, customers can reduce their carbon footprint and decrease the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills.

“We are thrilled to be opening our first store in South Africa and to be bringing designer clothing rental to the region,” says Eveline. “Our goal is to make designer clothing more accessible and affordable for everyone, while also promoting sustainability in the fashion industry.”

The store is located at 16 Jarvis Street, De Waterkant, Cape Town and is open Monday to Friday from 09:00am to 5pm, and Saturday from 09:00am to 3pm. Private styling appointments with Ange-Nicole and Evelina are available by prior arrangement.
