They came, they served, they conquered. The Tony Awards 2024 red carpet was one to remember, filled with gorgeous, gorgeous gowns and all the dramatic flair you’d expect from your favorite Broadway darlings.
Angelina Jolie, who attended with her daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt at her side, made a strong impression in a ruched velvet Versace gown, but the real star of the show was her new chest tattoo. Sarah Paulson also had a plus-one at the event: her partner of a decade, actor Holland Taylor.
Elle Fanning deviated from her typical airy fare, opting for a slick Saint Laurent suit, which she paired with a bold, vampy red lip. Taking up the mantle of “most whimsical” in Fanning’s stead was none other than the host of the evening’s show, Ariana DeBose, who hit the red carpet in a stunning Oscar de la Renta mosaic gown that looked like stained glass. As I said, the red carpet was just hit after hit.
