For the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, New-York native and iconic designer Michael Kors pays homage to the city that never sleeps.
In a teaser for the collection leading up to the show, the brand shared a series of clips showcasing the city’s most iconic landmarks and nightlife.
With a shot of the Empire State Building, the New York skyline, and The Carlyle, amongst others, the videos set the tone for the runway show, which took place at the Terminal 5 in Midtown Manhattan—the venue’s first-ever fashion presentation.
When it comes to the clothes, Kors says he wanted to “bring the excitement and energy of a night on the town to life—because I think right now, no matter where you are, we’re all craving that.”
“The clothes are really everything you need for stepping up, stepping out and making an entrance,” he says.
The likes of Adut Akech, Paloma Elsesser, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski sashayed down the runway in oversized suits, glamorous trench coats, faux-fur coats, structured silhouettes and camel tones.
On the sidelines, the front row was filled with A-listers including Brooke Shields, Anna Wintour Blake Lively, Miguel (who performed) and Naznin Mandi, as well as TikTok sensation Addison Rae - all clad in the designer’s latest collection.
For chic and inspiring nightlife dressing, here are some of the best looks from the Michael Kors AW22 show - on and off the runway.
