We kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week the only way we know how – with a fabulous wine tasting experience! Our hosts for the evening, Boschendal Wines, treated us to a superb pairing of award-winning wines and delicious, handcrafted chocolate treats ahead of the fashion shows.
Presented in the Xperience AFI lounge by Tamsyn Jeftha, Assistant Winemaker at Boschendal, this unique tasting experience was exclusively designed and developed by Boschendal’s chocolatiers. And what a tasting it was – a heavenly confection of pure, melt-in-the-mouth West African cocoa, used to create a variety of white, milk and dark chocolates infused with zesty hints of lime, apricot and Cape Glühwein flavours to tempt our tastebuds.
Pairings included exceptional wines from the 1685 range, such as the Boschendal 1685 Chardonnay, recently awarded Silver at last year’s Chardonnay Du Monde competition, the 1685 Sauvignon Blanc and the Boschendal 1685 Shiraz – all of which are available for purchase, and which we can thoroughly recommend!
