Kim Kardashian West makes millions every year and can afford any and every luxury beauty product her heart desires. Yes, we’re a little jealous too! Her income for 2015 alone was $52.2 million – that’s R807 669 720, which is nearly one billion Rand!
And just how much of that does she spend on beauty products? About R25 947 for her daily makeup routine, made up of high-end, like Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector 30ml (R860), and affordable goodies. Whoa!
Luckily for you, some of her favourite beauty products can be found at the local supermarket or pharmacy. And we have them right here – along with tips from Kim and her favourite makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic.
He suggests doing your makeup before you do your hair. “When clients get their hair done first, there’s usually hairspray on the face, so I always start with a makeup wipe,” says Mario. 1 Makeup wedges
He always uses makeup wedges when applying Kim’s makeup. “They are really soft and feel good on the face,” he says. You can find them nearly everywhere and they’re super affordable, like Dis-Chem Sponge White Latex (R4,95). 2 Face wipes
She removes her makeup with Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes (R99,95). “They take off everything but really gently – even mascara!” she says. She then cleanses with a face wash. 3 Bio-Oil
Another of Kim’s favourites; South African product, Bio-Oil 125ml (R104,99). “I love Bio-Oil! It’s cheap. I put it all over my body,” she says. “It’s great for your skin’s overall nourishment and helps reduce the appearance of scars and dehydrated skin.”
Kim just went ombre! Here’s how you can perfect the look. Want more celebrity makeup tips? Bimpe Onakoya, the African Queen of makeup, shares her secrets.
