The Cushnie Et Ochs spring-summer 2016 show stood out for its keyhole cutouts, slim silhouettes and cool-girl chic feel. But what stood out most for us was the enviable hairdos sported by the models!
The sleek, modern hairstyle was created by Antonio Corral Calero for Moroccanoil. He was inspired by the graphic lines and design elements found throughout Cushnie’s collection, and can easily be translated off the runway.
Calero himself has given us the secrets to recreating this a-list look – and yes, of course we’ll share them with you!
1 Blowdry
Starting with damp hair, apply Moroccanoil Treatment and Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion from your roots to your tips and blow dry straight.
2 Iron
Once your hair is completely dry, mist your whole head with Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection and then comb it through. Begin with the hair at the nape of your neck and working up to your crown, flat iron 8cm sections of your hair.
3 Smooth
Section off the hair at the very top of your head (from your hairline to about 8cm back). Apply a generous amount of Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion to this section. Use a fine tooth comb to smooth the section to the back of your head and tie with a clear elastic about 5cm below the crown of your head.
4 Section
Create two smaller segments on each side of your head by using a comb to section off hair from your hairline to the top of each ear. Apply Moroccanoil Smoothing Lotion to each section and comb them straight back until they meet at the back of your head. Secure them together with a clear elastic underneath the ponytail from the top section.
5 Finish
Comb all the loose hair straight and set your style with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray. Make sure your hair is perfectly straight and smooth with no flyaways.
