Makeup trends are like fashion trends: they come and go. The fact that there has been so much talk about lip combos lately is just a clue to the fact that we like to look back to the way our ancestors used to do their makeup, whether it was our grandmothers or our older cousins. In this sense, eyeliner , although it is one of the techniques preferred by makeup artists to highlight the look, is not always trendy. We all have a friend who doesn't leave the house without doing her eyeliner (and if you don't know her, that friend is probably you). But that doesn't mean it's going to become fashionable, far from it.
Eyeliner is associated with a powerful image, with sensuality, with punk and gothic, but let's not forget that it can also be the sweetest makeup . There's the eternal image of Audrey Hepburn with her immaculate eyeliner or more recently Sofia Coppola's Priscilla with her eye lined but full of innocence. Eyeliner can embody the most classic or the most modern makeup and, for all this, it is an eternal resource. We love to see models with eyeliner on the catwalk, because it means that it will return to the podium of trends in autumn, and Paris Haute Couture Week has left us with three examples of types of eyeliner to keep in mind for the coming season, with which to play depending on the look you wear. The only thing they share is the dark line with which they design the look, which one is yours?
