To shine up a dull ‘do
You’ll need
- 1 Cup apple juice
- 1 Cup pear juice
- 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
Shampoo, rinse and then pour the treatment on your locks. Let it soak in for one to three minutes, rinse and condition as usual.
To calm an itchy scalp
You’ll need
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/4 Plain full-fat yoghurt
Whip the banana and yoghurt together in a blender until they have the texture of a smoothie. Work the ‘mask’ into wet hair, wrap a wet towel around your head and let it soak in for 10 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition as per usual.
To treat damaged locks
You’ll need
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Small cucumber
- 1/2 Cup olive oil
Blend the avocado, cucumber and olive oil together to form a thick paste. Massage into damp strands, working from root to tip. Tie hair up into a high bun. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then wash it out.
