When it comes to legends in South Africa, we can never name them without naming film and television actress, business woman and producer Connie Ferguson. From the early 90s from her role on Soul City to the extremely popular Karabo Moroka on Generations, we all as young women wished to be like her. So Glamourous, tall, beautiful, smart and poised, most of us looked up to her. And as she transitioned from being Karabo Moroka to becoming Mavis on Rockville and created a leading production house Ferguson Films with her husband Shona Ferguson, we have grown with her and continued to Stan greatly for her. For us she is every woman and we admire her graceful nature and success.
During our Women Of the Year celebration late 2018, where Connie was honored, she opened up about how her mom Margaret Masilo was instrumental to who she became. Connie spoke of how it was her mom who made her believe in herself. During Connie's speech, no eye was dry. See her moving tribute to her mom below; just melted our hearts;
