The home of Mirari Gin is Time Anchor Distillery, nestled in the heart of Johannesburg’s trendy Maboneng precinct. The City of Gold’s first artisan distillery is a place where creativity and science merge into the harmonious, delicate creation of hand-made and distinctly artisanal spirits.
The image of gin has shifted, from its standard gin and tonics solely flavoured by lemon garnishes to the epitome of modern luxury with a bespoke quality, as local audiences have moved over to gins infused with a range of fragrant botanicals and made locally.
The Mirari Gin range comes in three delicious variants, each with their own unique signature. Amber African Botanical Gin is infused with a whopping 13 botanicals, including, Honeybush, Rose Geranium, Sour Figs and Boekenhout Honey. The second, Pink Damask Rose Gin is distilled with over 1000 damask roses, chamomile, grapefruit, cubeb berries, green cardamom, then infused with rose water. The third Blue Orient Gin includes the flavours of Cardamom, Grapefruit, Grains of Paradise, Ginger and Cassia Bark. Naturally coloured through the subtle infusion of blue pea flowers, the gin magically transforms from blue to pink when tonic is added.
