Happy new year to us! The Real Housewives of Durban are returning to our screens once again bringing with it all the drama, glitz and glam of the first season - and possibly even more spice.
On Monday, Showmax revealed the cast for season 2 and there’s a few faces to look forward to.
According to Pop Pulse SA, media personality Thobile MaKhumalo (wife of Uthando Nesthembu), musician Londie London, and artist Jojo Robinson will be joining the cast this season.
Of the original ladies, Sorisha Naidoo, Nonku Willams, Ann-Toni Ludick Mthembu and Nonkanyiso Conco will be returning to the show, while Kgomotso Ndungane and Ayanda Ncwane have decided to step away from the franchise.
Kgomotso, who didn’t even appear in last season’s reunion episodes, said she did not enjoy how the show brought her negative attention and instead aims to focus on her businesses.
Ncwane, who’s the wife of late gospel legend Sifiso Ncwane, said the Real Housewives of Durban brand does not align with the legacy she wants to create for her husband.
If the memorable moments of season 1 are anything to go by - remember the baby mama drama triangle between Ayanda, her husband and Nonku? - then season 2 looks to be just as entertaining. We can’t wait to see what ladies have in store for us this season.
The Real Housewives of Durban season 2 will air on Showmax early this year.
