When we shot our Disruptors cover with the Samsung Galaxy S23 last year, we had no idea that a newer, epic model was on the horizon. Enter the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
As a journalist, I attend a lot of events, and in the digital era, it’s never been more important to capture high quality images that are reflective of the moment. And the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is finessing! Capturing up to nine frames back to back, and brings them back together to create multiple exposure compositions.
Firstly, it’s the plus one I didn’t know I needed. Let me explain…when I first got the phone, I was covering the red carpet premiere of The Honeymoon. I had tried to organize a ring light but this didn’t materialize so you can imagine how excited I was when I discovered that the phone has a steady hand feature. Also, I’m obsessed with the quality of the videos and images which made covering the event an absolute joy!
Another red carpet highlight was the Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story garden party where I showed up with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra again. It was the star of the show if we’re being honest.
Considering that events can go all the way into the evening, I particularly love the Nitography feature which allows you to take clear and crisp videos and images at night. The advanced sensor and fast processor accommodate low light and reduce noise; features which come in handy when I do interviews at events as there’s usually a lot of background noise.
I’m still in awe of the resolution on the wide-angle camera which captures every detail. I recently went on a safari trip, and was pleased with the quality of the images. It is also worth noting that using the zoom feature doesn’t alter the quality of the images. We later enjoyed a screening under the stars, and I was able to capture the constellations clearly.
Also, can we talk about the long-lasting battery for a minute? Between catching flights and quick outfit changes, it’s so easy to forget to charge so this was another boss move from Samsung. And the built in S-pen is a thoughtful touch for writers on the go! Jotting down ideas has never been this effortless. So I can carry a small bag because I don’t have to worry about my notebook. Can you say convenient and eco-friendly? Winning! At this point, this epic phone is easily my forever plus one.
