The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a solid and impressive Android phone that delivers on quality images, video and makes it easier to navigate life on the go.
The Camera: Slim, sleeker and polished, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is a few steps ahead of the S21. With a linear camera and 5 mirrored lens rings, the camera array is very strong and sharp, producing visuals that can compete with some of the best professional cameras out there. The space zoom and optical are impressive works of modern technology.
The S22 Ultra continues with the S21’s ultra cool camera feature, the Director’s view” which allows you to film multiple angles to capture different frames.
I am also enjoying the improved selfie camera which has a much sharper and steadier auto focus.
Built-in S Pen: The S22 Ultra is the first Galaxy with a built-in S Pen and this comes in handy when navigating the device. Situated at the bottom of the phone, next to the SIM slot and USB-C charging port, the pen is easy to eject or store away. As someone who is always taking notes, I love the fact that I can convert my S Pen handwritten notes into a smart text format.
The S Pen works for so many things as well such as doodling in augmented reality, and fast grab content to share with your friends or colleagues.
You can also join the PenUp community space to learn how to draw with the S Pen and share it with other creators from around the world.
All-day battery life: The S22 Ultra boosts a 500mAh battery that intelligently adapts to the way you use your phone, saving power that lasts the whole day. A quick charge in the afternoon or evening with a supercharger will ensure that the battery power takes you past midnight. The battery power is a game changer for us who spend a lot of time on the phone, and the brighter screen is a bonus.
Nightography: Samsung’s term used to describe night-time or low-light photography, this is one of my favourite features about the S22 Ultra that works as promised. With image sensors, shape-shifting pixels and long-exposure skills among other things, you can get a clear and crisp image or video of the moon, your surroundings or yourself in poor lighting with this feature.
Video Magic: The Galaxy series video technology is ahead of its peers in general, however, the Galaxy S22 Ultra video offering takes things up a notch, with auto framerate that automatically detects lighting and movement the videos are vibrant, clear, and with incredible depth. The camera allows you to shoot some high-quality 4k videos at 60fps, and up to 8k at 24fps.
Final word: The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the coolest and good looking Android phone currently on the market. It’s unique, practical and it impresses with its features, from the diverse camera and video, to the sleek S Pen, it’s a modern technology marvel that fits in with my busy lifestyle.
