This winter, Radisson RED Cape Town, is collaborating with The Chad Sessions for the RED Winter Playlist - a series of intimate listening sessions and vibrant winter parties featuring some of South Africa's most underrated up-and-comers, as well as more established acts already blazing their trails in SA’s vibrant music scene.
“The Cape Town musical community really appreciated our summer event series, so we decided to spice up the winter with some cozy, intimate jam-sessions, and feature some of the amazing musical talent we are blessed with as a country,” explained the hotel’s Marketing Communications Lead Dayle Theunissen.
The RED Winter Playlist offers guests an exclusive opportunity to relax, enjoy a meal and some drinks, while connecting with renowned artists in a stylish, intimate setting.
The first of the three events will take place on Saturday, 27 July 2024, and the lineup includes artists like Gemma Fassie, Liam van der Heyde, The Voice winner Craig Lucas; a singer-songwriter who has since captivated hearts and ears around the nation with his innovative songwriting and breathtaking vocal range.
The Chad Sessions – a fast-growing music platform dedicated to showcasing exceptional talent and curating unique live music experiences is now a respected feature in the South African live music gig landscape.
“My vision for the Chad Sessions has always been about celebrating and nurturing artists, and connecting them with music enthusiasts. Radisson RED is very much aligned on that front. Another get-together with my favourite Cape Town hotel is just the ticket for amplifying our collective vision. We’re on the same page, and working with them again has been fantastic,” said platform founder Chad Saaiman
The monthly sessions kicked off on 27 July, with the next offering on 31 August, and the final one on 28 September 2024. The RED Winter Playlist series will be held at the trendy OUIBar + Ktchn, located within Radisson RED Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront. This trendy venue will be transformed into a haven for music lovers ahead of the event.
