110 Things I Hate About You (1999)
We were devastated when Heath Ledger passed away in 2008 – mainly because our dream of him serenading us on a high school grandstand died with him. We still picture those gorgeous dimples whenever we hear ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’, and will forever have a soft spot for men with curly hair and British accents.

2 The Notebook (2004)
Kissing in the rain is sexy. It’s something about the moody sky overhead, the way your clothes cling to you and the slick feel of wet skin against skin. Throw in Ryan Gosling picking you up with one muscly arm and confessing his undying love for you, and you have the perfect romantic moment.
3Romeo + Juliet (1996)
You wouldn’t think that staring at a stranger through a fishtank would cause butterflies in your tummy, but when that stranger is a dashing 21-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio, who could resist? Although the pair met a tragic end, this scene made us believe in love at first sight.
4How Stella Got Her Groove Back (1998)
Our fantasies about being seduced by a sexy young islander in a tropical locale come to gorgeous life in the form of 27-year-old Taye Diggs. It doesn’t hurt that he’s topless for a large majority of the film, and what really gets our hearts racing is the steamy shower scene – need we say more?

5Notting Hill (1999)
Romantic gestures and grand speeches don’t always have to be the responsibility of the male lead, a point proven by Julia Roberts when she reveals her vulnerable side to the dashing yet ditzy Hugh Grant. Despite her fame and beauty, her character strips down to her essence with the classic line, “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”
6Save The Last Dance (2001)
A bad boy hip-hop dancer falls in love with an uptight ballerina, and the result is a turbulent romance that culminates with Julia Stiles dancing her heart out for a scholarship – and her beau cheering her on. There’s nothing we love more than a man supporting his woman when she needs him most, especially when he does so on stage in front of a room full of intimidating critics.
