If you’re looking for the ultimate in V-VIP cocktails, it has to be The Pegu Club.
This gin-based drink gets its name from a Victorian-style gentleman’s society called The Pegu Club. It was located in Burma at the turn of the 20th century and was attended by prominent businessmen, senior government and military officials.
While the drink has all but disappeared from memory in present day Myanmar, there has been a spectacular resurgence of The Pegu Club cocktail globally on account of it being the quintessential gentleman’s cocktail. While this legendary drink may sound quite serious, don’t let the history fool you. It’s fun, exotic and utterly seductive.
Now, for the perfect Pegu Club Cocktail.
