It was a year ago that Christopher Kane sent bejewelled Crocs down the runway and divided the fashion world on the front row. Well now, no other than Balenciaga have taken on the notoriously ‘ugly’ shoe – and their version is sky high…

At their Paris Fashion Week show in the capital on Sunday, the major fashion house sent PLATFORM Crocs down the runway.
Creative Director Demna Gvasalia, famed for his subversive play on normal elements, did exactly that with his interpretation of Crocs. The famously comfy shoes were 10 cm high and decorated with pin embellishments including flags, rainbows, flowers and stars.
Understandably, the shoes have divided the fashion community and the Twittersphere alike.
