Superbalist has opened the gates to South Africa’s EDEN with the new and exquisite Superbalist X Lulama Wolf Collection featuring womenswear and homeware creations in collaboration with the globally acclaimed visual artist.
Lulama Wolf's range is the first ever artist collaboration for South Africa’s largest online fashion retailer. In this collection the brands marry art, design, and functionality to celebrate South Africa’s unique beauty. Driven by bold, abstract prints and a mix of neutral, earthy tones and statement shades, the collection showcases the beauty of the earth, the value of nostalgia and the importance of joy.
While Lulama Wolf's natural designs reflect the patterned landscapes of Africa, they are also an expression of her purpose as a woman of colour who is committed to sharing her perspective and inspiring the next generation of African artists through her creative talent.
The EDEN Collection, available exclusively on Superbalist, transports us back reminding us of the beginning. “EDEN encompasses the idea of the joy of life and the gift of the earth and land – being a verbal, sonic and visual idea of all that is important to me. About Lulama Wolf
Lulama Wolf is a visual artist who lives and works in Johannesburg in South Africa. With work that lives at the intersection of Neo-Expressionism and Modern African Art, she interrogates the pre-colonial African experience through the contemporary mind by using smearing, scraping, and deep pigment techniques that were used in vernacular architecture, and the patterns created largely by women to decorate traditional African homes. She is also known and loved for her effortless style across her established social media community.
