Rihanna is always a big name come the Met Gala, but this year she has even more reason to be.
Not only was she announced as the host of the official Met Gala afterparty, but she is now also a featured designer in the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the exhibit “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.”
The reigning Queen of the Met, will have two pieces from her Savage Fenty lingerie collection on display: Her Savage Not Sorry Lace Bodysuit with geometric thread work, as well as her Commitment Issues Fishnet Body Stocking.
These garments will now become part of the nearly 150-year-old art institution’s permanent collection - making her the first pop star to ever achieve such a feat.
For Riri, this is just another accolade for her to add to her moments of making fashion history.
