The 25th edition of the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) was a big night for newcomers such as the dynamic Limpopo Champion Sho Madjoz i who scooped the best newcomer and best female award, and hip-hop star Nasty C who walked away with best hip-hop album and best produced album of the year. The amazing throwback segment that saw one of the best groups to ever come out of Mzansi, Bongo Maffin, with kwaito legends Trompies, Thebe, Boom Shaka and other kwaito artists took us back to the good ole days. We also have to give it to Melanie Bala and Bob Mabena for doing a stellar job as the hosts for the night.
The red carpet wasn't as colourful this year—the usual suspects (we won't mention names) were MIA. However, a few got our attention. Here are some of our favourite SAMA 2019 red carpet looks.
