Former Miss SA Tamaryn Green and South African businessman Ze Nxumalo celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a stunning umembeso ceremony in Paarl, Western Cape, over the weekend.
Tamaryn Green and Ze Nxumalo have been together since 2018 and announced their engagement in April 2021.
The umembeso is a special ceremony in Zulu culture that involves the groom and his family bringing gifts to the bride’s family before the wedding and according to experts at Sanlam, it is advised to budget for about R80 000 or more.
Tamaryn looked absolutely gorgeous and started the day’s proceedings off in a glamorous red dress by designer Natalia Jefferys.
The South African beauty took to Instagram to share the beautiful occasion with her followers.
“Woke up on this morning to the sound of rain and I remember thinking this is God showering us with His blessings. It might be a muddy day but so it will be.Then at 11am, just as our event started, the clouds gave way and the beauty of my home town revealed itself as the sun shon down on us. I’m so happy to have introduced my new family and friends to Paarl.I could not have asked for a more fun, loving special day celebrating with God at the centre.Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. We really appreciate it.”, says Tamaryn (sic).
