On Friday 8 July, 2016, Liezel van der Westhuizen scooped a double win at the CEO Magazines Awards for Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government.
Not only did Liezel receive the prestigious award as the country’s winner, she was also voted the SADC Regional Winner for Africa’s Most Influential Woman in Business and Government for Media.
In line with her own vision, CEO Global long recognises the important role women play in the development of society. Since the founding of the company in 2000, these initiatives have evolved organically into the globally recognised awards.
“I’m honoured and delighted to have received the awards. It is an inspiration for my future projects and I hope that it is a motivation for all women. The awards serve as an excellent platform that acknowledges the hard work and talent out there. Being recognised is not only a boost in confidence for me personally but it challenges me to involve and help other women out there to achieve their own goals and pay it forward in their own special way,” says Liezel.
