Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly planning to secretly get married days before their wedding in Paris due to French laws putting their original plans in doubt.
The superstar couple are set to tie the knot this summer, but their plans for Parisian nuptials could fall through due to French laws which require foreign citizens to live in the country for 40 days before they tie the knot.
The Sun newspaper reports that although Kanye West has owned an apartment in the city for three years, it’s not his main home and so the local mayor will make the final decision.
An insider said: “They couldn’t face the humiliation of the wedding being cancelled at the last minute. So they’ve decided to get married behind closed doors in Los Angeles before they fly out to France.”
It is said the actual union will now take place in front of a couple of witnesses in an office belonging to the Kim’s mother Kris Jenner.
According to recent reports, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has started “wearing a corset” to bed in order to look her best for the lavish Parisian ceremony (see what they’ve got planned here!).
A source claimed: “Kim wants he figure to look absolutely perfect on her wedding day. Wearing a corset at night is extremely uncomfortable but has a proven record of results, and with six weeks to go, Kim is up for anything.”
Kim is also reportedly planning to take her personal trainer with her and Kanye West on their Hawaii honeymoon.
She has been working hard to get in shape for the wedding and is said to have asked her trainer Gunnar Peterson to travel with them to Hawaii as she doesn’t want to let herself go.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Kim has paid for Gunnar to come along so she can work out while she’s away on her honeymoon.
“Kim doesn’t feel happy when Gunnar’s not around as she loses her willpower so quickly.
“She doesn’t want to undo all her hard work and pile on the pounds on the honeymoon.”
The 33-year-old star got engaged to her rapper fiancé, 33, last October following the birth of their daughter North, and he’s said to be more than supportive of her plans to carry on her fitness regime.
The source added: “Kanye totally gets it, he’s completely supportive of Kim’s efforts to lose the baby weight and get in shape for the wedding.
“North will stay with Kim’s family and her nanny. Kim and Kanye want time away from parental duties as it’s important for them to spend time alone as a couple.” Well, it’s not like the well-travelled tot hasn’t been to France before – Kim’s taken North to Paris, so we’re sure she won’t mind missing out.
