On July 17 the streetwear queen took her vibe to the beach in an on-trend all-white outfit with her signature spin. The look comprised a skimpy one-piece bathing suit with dramatic cutouts and a drawstring fastener at the bust under a pair of baggy mesh track pants worn low on the hips. She completed her ’fit with a camo-patterned baseball cap, a couple of necklaces, red-tinted sunglasses, and, unless I am very much mistaken, a pair of kitten-heeled white sandals. Literally only Julia Fox would wear heels on sand.
The quintessential New York City girlie was clearly enjoying herself at the city beach. She was photographed laying out, taking a dip in the ocean, and eating a vanilla ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles.
Fox could never be accused of being a follower, but there’s no doubt that monochromatic white outfits are having a moment this summer. White-on-white looks have been seen on everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Gisele Bündchen to Jennifer Lawrence to Queen Letizia of Spain. But while the look tends to give off elegant rich lady vibes, Julia Fox, woman of the people, simply wouldn’t be herself if she didn’t give it a little bit of danger. (The danger here being heeled shoes on the beach.)
