Cher is the new face of Marc Jacobs.
The ‘Believe’ hitmaker was unveiled as the star of the luxury label’s autumn/winter 2015 campaign on Jacobs’ Instagram account.
The 69-year-old singer – who attended this year’s Met Gala hand in hand with the renowned designer – stuns in the David Sims-shot images which show her seated in a conservative floor-length ensemble and black leather gloves with her raven locks billowing around her shoulders.
Marc, 52, captioned the photo: “The amazing and beautiful CHER! Photographed by David Sims for our Fall/Winter campaign. This is just the beginning…. More to come!!”
It isn’t the first time the New York-born designer has chosen a mature model for his campaigns.
The former creative director of Louis Vuitton also selected 71-year-old Catherine Deneuve to front his final campaign for the Parisian label in 2013.
Other stars to have acted as face of Marc Jacobs include controversial singer Miley Cyrus and Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham.
