As the build-up to GLAMOUR’s Most GLAMOURous 2016 begins, we thought we’d take a nostalgic look at last year’s winners.

Claudia Henkel – Who is your style icon? “Amal Ramzi Clooney is simple, chic, elegant – and a successful lawyer.”
Bianca Resnekov – What does GLAMOUR mean to you? “GLAMOUR is the dramatic touches I like to inject into my dress code: red lipstick, black lace, vintage hats and a short fringe.”
Louise Carver – What are the three most GLAMOURous things we’d find in your wardrobe? “A sparkly, navy evening gown by Vasselina Pentcheva, a cherry-red, knee-length formal dress by Gert-Johan Coetzee, and a pair of nude Dior heels that I bought in New York.”
Janita Kotzé – What is the best style advice that you’ve ever received? “The only elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it.”
Swaady Martin-Leke – What are the three most GLAMOURous things we’d find in your wardrobe? “A silk wedding kimono from Tokyo, a wax-print dress my cousin made years ago, and a satin Karen Millen dress.”
Lorna Maseko-Lukhele – Who is your style icon? “The stunning Jennifer Lopez.”
Venetia Gopaul – What does GLAMOUR mean to you? “It’s pizzazz, sparkle and confidence.”
Rolene Strauss – Who is your style icon? “I love ’50s pin-up models, Audrey Hepburn and Kate Middleton’s elegance.”
Elena Afrika-Bredenkamp– What’s the best style advice you’ve ever received? “If you don’t have the money to buy something nice, it probably won’t be nice to wear. Save up and then you’ll enjoy having it.”
